Welcome to Strathewen Primary School. Ours is a small school in a rural setting, approximately 13km from Hurstbridge and 9km from Kinglake, at the bottom of the Kinglake Range. Set in award winning gardens and grounds, our school provides two multi-age classrooms, each taught by highly experienced teachers. We have one grade Prep, One, Two and Three classroom and a grade Four, Five, and Six classroom.
Having returned to our newly rebuilt school in October 2010, we proudly offer state of the art learning facilities for our students. Our two classrooms are light and bright and are fully equipped with a range of up to date technology and interactive whiteboards. Set over two levels, we have a large multi-purpose room, an Art room/Science space and covered all-weather outdoor learning areas.
We have a dedicated and highly skilled staff team, who strive to engage and inspire students. Our school provides a rich curriculum and an individualised approach to each student’s education and the involvement of parents and community members within school programs is encouraged.
